The main responsibility of the avionics department is to act on direction coming from the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Director of Maintenance. Our trained Avionics Technicians complete repairs, inspections and component replacements to all company aircraft.
Our avionics department has extensive installation experience that includes radar, hoist, cargo hook, flight following and satellite communication systems.
Software
We use TCAS (Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System) software, GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning) software, MPFR (Multi-Purpose Flight Data Recorder) software, VXP HUMS (Health Usage Monitoring System) software, Automated Passenger Briefing software along with all the on-board system software tools. We also perform FMS (Flight Management System) software updates over the internet through our subscription database every month.
